Please remember that Dr. Novek is a primary care pediatrician and a general physician.  He is happy to see all patients for any medical needs; however, he may need to refer you to a specialist for some chronic conditions, or more complicated problems.  After 10 years experience taking care of US patients under all medical and surgical specialties at San Bortolo Hospital, he is very experienced at managing complicated medical problems in both adults and children.  

More importantly, he knows well most of the medical and surgical specialists at San Bortolo, and further afield, including the university hospitals at Padova and at Verona, as well as the best private multispecialty clinics in and around Vicenza.  He will discuss your needs with you, and will find you the best physician in the area to care for your problem.  Most of his specialist colleagues speak good English, but he will always choose the best doctors for their skills in medicine, beyond their comfort with English.  If there are communication problems, Dr. Novek will see you back within 24 hours to fully explain your specialty consult, and to coordinate ongoing care with the consultant.
